Crybaby
Crybaby was started at my dad's kitchen counter during one of the most unprecedented and chaotic times in our history: the coronavirus pandemic. As a bored online college student, stuck at my dad's house with nothing to do and no car for escape, I finally decided to pick up my iPad and start learning how to use Procreate. As I was learning and beginning to develop my own drawing style, I was posting my work on Instagram, where I would get a lot of support and love from my followers. So, I decided to ask if my art was something that they would consider buying. I got an overwhelming amount of yes's and from there, I began work on my own brand, called Crybaby, where I sell my own digitally-drawn prints and stickers.
Why Crybaby?
While brainstorming sticker designs, I came up with the idea for the Crybaby logo, though I hadn't thought to make it the logo at the time. The word "crybaby" has always resonated with me because I identify as one. I admit, I cry easily, but I think that just means that I harbor more feeling and experience emotion on a deeper level. I like to think that my art carries emotion too. I draw when I'm happy, sad, lonely, etc. and I believe they reflect whatever emotion I am feeling at any given time, therefore Crybaby is representative me and all of the emotions reflected in my art.
